Money does come from Trees

After getting a company to do some tree work for us in our backyard. I had the opportunity to do some tree work. I started as a young man a long time ago. But it had definitely been a while. I started again by being on the ground crew working the job I had hired the tree company to do. I was hooked again.

Again equally thankful to God for reminding me the value of honest hard work.

I was definitely hooked...

People ask me all the time why do you still do tree work when you do medic work... make that... and go here and there...  around the world...
ANSWER:
"thankful to God for reminding me the value of honest hard work"

"You can't look down on a man that does a hard days work, especially if he is up a tree"

"It's just really some cool man stuff..."

So, thankful for the Jim Maddox "Green Scenes" and his family and all those that have and do work for him.
So if you can need some tree work done... Call the number on the truck and ask for Jim...

VEGAS BABY! 2013

What a wonderful summer... we had already planned this whirlwind vacation before we had left Saudi... but it was amazing to have time with my mom and for the girls to spend time with their Lola...
We had an amazing time all together!

SKYWALK! Arizona!

Forgot to Mention Week 2 at the beach 2013

Yes, in 2013 we had the chance to stay at the beach for another week. It was wonderful. Donna's parent always got this house called "Bailey's Roost" It was much needed as well. I was able to close out things with Saudi Officially for the best. Then we were able to just relax and enjoy the future God had for us from here...

July 4th 2013 - Freedom and then the Beach

What do you do after living in Saudi Arabia? Where do you go? Well after going to one of the best 4th of July celebrations at Donna's Uncle Joe's place, you go to the beach.

We had booked a house for a week at Myrtle Beach before we left Saudi, called the "Beachcomber"
The Beachcomber was awesome. It wasn't directly off the beach. It was close enough, that we had a straight path to the beach.

Getting there has always been the best time. We even had one of my oldest friend's son "Logan" riding down to the beach with us. The girls thought he was the coolest.

Then once we got to beach and the rest of the family came we had the best time.
You know Bob can grill and cook it up!
The cousin and the adults had a great time being with family at the beach.

The Sherrell Tribe

The Timmons Crew...

That's right San Juan and the family came on down too...
What a blast!

Proper Farewell to Saudi

Proper farewell to Saudi. While refreshing our family blog I noticed we had never posted our parting thoughts and wishes for an adventure we will always remember.
We were thankful to have gone around to the other side of the world.

I was able to do some amazing things as a paramedic overseas in Saudi Arabia. Had the first successful in the field CPR(Code) resuscitation at my camp. One good deed...
As a family we also did some amazing things for the first time.
I was able to become friends with amazing people from America and from all over the world. They became our family away from family.

Of course there were a few bumps in the adventure.
But friends and family made it endurable...
... and getting a bit crazy at times helped
"Change the game, don't let the game change you"

Since we got back I am again equally thankful to God for reminding me the value of honest hard work. I am also reminded of the many family members and great friends we love. We are so thankful for them all. I am thankful for the forgiveness I have received; it has taught me to forgive just as much. The perception you have is different when you have been to the bottom and climbed your way back up. We our thankful to God and to all those that are family and friends who have been there for us during our best of times and the hardest of times throughout all the years. It is really simple "Love God, Love People, Serve the World" Then just as quickly as our life living and working in Saudi Arabia  began, and just as it began, we ended our adventure at the "Waffle House."
